Nice coffee, breakfast, lunch place in a simple setting. Actually the best coffee I’ve found in the area. Portions are big (even too big). Service is fast. The only thing to improve is to use real plates and cutlery rather than paper boxes and plastic (better for the environment).
I’m so confused! I was looking forward to great local food and coffee. But I’m eating out of a box in the cafe with plastic cups and disposable cutlery?! And you want a tip lol. Boring atmosphere, nice food that was overshadowed by the absolute lack of service or feel. So sad. Someone pls buy this place and restore it?
USA, please know this. Espresso to water ratio needs to be the same no matter what size. Larger coffee does not equal pouring more hot water in. It’s almost 2024, be better.
One of many coffee houses I have tried, but it didn’t stand out. It has standard coffee choices. ☕️ I had an iced mocha with almond milk and it was good. Breakfast sandwich was simple, but tasty. The baristas were very friendly and the atmosphere was comfortable. 🙌The coffee just wasn’t at the level that the baristas are creating the drinks.
Cute coffee shop with a good selection of baked goods and coffee. The atmosphere sphere is very LA / Casual and the staff were friendly.
I ordered a cold brew and chocolate croissant and enjoyed both. The cold brew was really strong - which I enjoyed, so there are no complaints.
Definitely try this spot out if you are in the area.
Norwegians on a few days visit to LA, looking for a decent breakfast. This was it! A little ancious because of some bad reviews, but the only complain (and reason for only four stars) is a little slow delivery. But the BLTA was smashing and nicely presented. Quality coffee and nice staff! At 9 on Sunday, not very crowded. Will come back!
I love lox bagels to be fair, but I paid almost $20 for one here after tip and it was really messed up. Lox bagels are supposed to be open face with proper ratio of ingredients. Theirs was not. If your favorite part of a lox bagel is only tasting the caper and onion this is the $20 bagel for you. Go to courage bagel in loz feliz. The drive and wait will be better than the disappointment here.
This is a wonderful home grown cafe and I have been visiting for quite some time. The pastries, muffins, and bagels are out of sight and they also have an extensive menu. I really enjoy their coffee selections and always stop by especially really early. This location in Hollywood is very quiet and it's usually only you getting served, which is awesome. Their attention to detail and customer satisfaction is wonderful and I highly recommend Groundwork, if you like a rich, balanced cup of coffee.
2023 update: they started charging for plant milks! 🤬
And they’ve decimated their once fantastic loyalty program.
One of the best coffee shops in Los Angeles, hands down. Pretentious level coffee without the sterile environment.
Always a variety of freshly roasted beans from all over the world. Love their Papua New Guinea especially.
No up charge for plant milk and they usually have a bunch of options: soy, almond, oat, and even hemp. They do pour overs as well.
The vegan breakfast burrito is legit good. Not just for a coffee shop, as in sometimes I go just to get it!
They have vegan baked goods too- the banana bread is delicious.
